Have you ever wanted to get in- volved with a group of students who ex- cel in school and give back to the community? Then look no further then Alpha Gamma Sig- ma (AGS) Honors Society.

Established in 1926, AGS is a statewide organization that offers scholarships to students
who are involved in AGS and its activities. Fulltime students with at least a 3.0 GPA are eligible for membership.

AGS takes part in many on campus events, including ClubRush,Kaleido- scope, and Relay for Life. They are also heavily involved in community service, participating in various fundraisers and serving the poor at the Pverello House.

"Alpha Gamma Sigma is about relationship building, leadership development, embracing opportunities to serve the community, pushing towards graduation and being honored at graduation,"
Ms. Obied, one of the club’s advisors. “We are here to have fun and serve the community," says AGS President Bryce Downing.

AGS conducts their meetings in parliamentary procedure, which can give students a strong sense of how professional meetings are run. This is typical of the orderly and organized way in which AGS functions.

AGS is a great opportunity for any student who would like to give back to the community, socialize with students who excel in school, and beef up their resume.
